Typically, your advances are repaid automatically when you receive your paycheck—you don’t need to do anything. Here’s how it works:
Each time you take an advance, you agree to update your direct deposit settings so that the amount of the advance is transferred to your new bank account (Clair by Pathward Limited Demand Deposit Account) when you receive your next paycheck. These funds are then automatically debited from your Clair by Pathward Limited Demand Deposit Account to repay your advance.
You may also repay advances early by entering the Clair portal through your partnered payroll provider account and making a repayment via your debit card at no cost. Please note that making a repayment too close to payday may result in an allocation still going to Clair, but if no funds are owed, these funds will be returned within 1 business day to your primary linked direct deposit account.
